1st Place, Non-Professional Non-Original with Instruction

This design was printed in NeedlePointers magazine, March through November, 2017. It was designed by Jeff Kulik. I decided to stitch this piece in red threads using Silk Lame’ braid, Kreinik metallic, ThreadworX overdyed floss and metallic braid, Vineyard Silk Shimmer, Fyre Werks, Neon Rays, Marlitt, DMC #5 Pearl cotton, and Pepper Pot silk to name a few. There was no master graph to followonly an element map and a border plan plus the directions that were given. I stitched it according to the instructions but changed two elements in size to make a spatial void similar to the other blank canvas voids. This made the design stand out and not the blank canvas.
