Lynn’s art education came from her parents, who were professional artists and art educators. She taught for more than 40 years at all levels for EGA, ANG, EAC, Callaway Gardens School of Needlearts, NAN, Stitching Sisters Seminars, Blue Bonnet Studio Time Retreat, continuing education, numerous shops, quilt guilds, YWCA, and in her studio. Lynn created designs for Janlynn Corporation, Ibex Designs, and Custom House, and published in Family Circle, Woman’s Day, McCall’s, Stitchery, Lee Wards, Threads, Needlearts, and Stitchery and Needle Lace. Her works won numerous awards, and the classes she offered encompassed a wide range of needleart, including mixed media, Crewel, silk ribbon, Needlelace, Brazilian, Stumpwork, Blackwork, silk and metal, crazy quilting, clothing embellishment, doll making, and beading. Her classes engaged pre-school children through senior citizens. Lynn was known not only for teaching stitches and techniques to students, but also for inspiring their creativity and imagination.
