One of my most cherished possessions is my grandmother’s tomato pin cushion full of needles and pins. Many years ago I designed a canvaswork version of the timeless tomato pin cushion and taught it many times. I have been enjoying the art of bead embroidery and have created a timeless tomato version in that technique. I am enjoying the result of collecting beads and findings for the past 30 years. The beaded tomato was stitched in segments on red Ultrasuede®. Every bead is hand sewn onto the Ultrasuede fabric. The segments were sewn together and stuffed to form the finished tomato.
