2nd Place, Professional Original

This is another one of my whimsical pieces. My goal was to design and stitch a topsy-turvy bright colored birthday cake. To give it some extra bling at the top, I added sequins and wire for a burst of surprise at the top and finally a birthday sign. The unexpected fun part of the piece was the buttons. They are great for hanging family member’s names during their birthday week. I use scrapbooking paper and cardstock and a bit of thread.
