Third Place

I have always loved doing Bargello patterns. When I saw the sample for Wind Scattered, Color Spattered Leaves, I thought it would be a fun challenge to work Bargello on the diagonal.

It was a challenge, as I had trouble working on a diagonal.

I changed some of the colors as I worked across the pattern. The colors represent the seasons going from the upper left, which represents Winter, then going into Spring, Summer and ending with Fall. I liked the different threads in each season and found that the sparkle of the Kreinik metallic provided a wonderful touch to each season.

It was a fun project to work.
