Best of Show (The Jean Taggart Award); First Place Professional Original; The Muse’s Kiss Award

This stumpwork elephant was constructed in separate parts and then assembled. I attempted to give the elephant a feeling of charging out of the brush by padding the knee of the raiser foot and by mounting the completed embroidery on a piece of a palm tree which I flattened and then stiffened with several layers of glue.
