Honorable Mention
This stunning piece was an eye-catcher the first time I saw it and I knew immediately that I wanted to stitch it.
Ann Strite-Kurz, the designer, says there are nearly 1000 beads in the border which required very careful counting on the basic circle which forms the foundation for the piece and meticulous stitching on the five-layered corners. The leaves and snowflakes (sequins) were place randomly.
This piece took patience to finish, but has been well worth it. I love it as much now as when I first saw it stitched.
