Old Glory with a new twist becomes New Glory, a modern patchwork flag celebrating patriotic themes. This “flag” combines fabric applique, fun stitching, and embellishments to create a wonderful Independence Day (or any other time) decoration. Each fabric area is padded with wool felt, fused to the canvas and then the stitched borders in the design secure the fabric even more. The stitches with threads, including Sparkle! Braid, Neon Rays+, Fyre Werks, Silk Lame’ Braid, Planet Earth Silk, Gloriana Silk, Gumnuts Stars, are a combination of old favorites and some variations on laid fillings. The gold star embellishments and red beads add the perfect touch to several areas of our “flag”.
