This Mindy piece had many 8 x 8 colored squares for the background. The fun part was selecting a stitch to fit a 4 square pattern. Then the challenge was to select the many colors to match the painted canvas colors. More than 70 floss colors can be found. I changed the trunk from black to brown in Criss-Cross Hungarian to be like a tree.
