My swishy skirt was such a fun piece for me to play with. I had no deadline, no real purpose, no upcoming event to meet, just something that I wanted to try. I had this lovely large piece of lavender linen, and with my growing fascination with collage, I decided to experiment. First, I stitched the skirt, and then played with a lot of other fabrics and things, remembering that it be worn obviously, and cleaned, so would need those considerations as I worked. Gradually, the undersea theme happened.

Unfortunately, now I’m too short to wear it, so a tall granddaughter is acquiring it!
