2016 Second Place, Non-Professional Non-Original with Instruction

This piece has been a “love/hate”! When I first saw it in the window at Needleworks, I thought “oh how much fun” ….nice break from all my “Christmas projects.” However, it became very frustrating to find the right fiber and technique for the hair. I finally played around with Sparkle Rays which gave me my “palette” that I wanted to achieve. Pulling one thread, I created a ruching and laid it with matching DMC. The new bright sequins have added some pizzazz to our crazy lady. Now I love her and can’t wait to hang her next to our bar to toast with our “cosmos”. I also changed the earrings.
