Third Place

Years ago I made “kit” stockings for my husband and myself. They were pretty basic. Over the years I have made stockings for our 4 children and now grandchildren.

Of course they became more and more beautiful as I continued to take more lessons. My husband and I love Christmas and have a collection of special bears we put around our tree. Looking through hundreds of designs I kept coming back to “MY BEAR.” My husband was always so thrilled with every section I would finish and when I came to the final part of the face, the bear just started “popping” out to me. I felt like I was petting a real bear and the eyes had a special sparkle to me.

It was the 1st up on the mantle and last down. My husband was so impressed he had me buy the ‘companion’ Bear which is a beautiful icy blue-white.
