One day I was telling my grandson, who was three years old, that the sunflower “follows the sun” when growing in the fields.

He looked at my phone, saw the picture of a sunflower used as a background picture, and held the phone up to the light coming in the window. He wanted to see it move?

I have loved sunflowers since then and wanted to merge my passion for needlework with my new passion–painting. The petals and background are painted with Acrylic paints, while the center of the flower is beaded.
