Sea Foam by Marie Campbell

Sea Foam, 2002
One usually returns from the beach with tiny memories picked from the sand. This brushed glass container seems a perfect storage display, hazily revealing shapes and colors of its contents. The bead-embroidered lid replicates the splash and swirl of surf on sand, shells and sea revenants. Iridescent crystal, iris, and aqua beads, a few pearls, Czech glass fish and shells, and bezeled dichroic cabochons and abalone bits are elements incorporated for the visual recreation of carefree days at the seaside.
