2004 Lifetime Achievement Awardee
Gail Sirna earned her Teacher Certification in 1982 and completed Judge Certification in 1990 with the National Academy of Needlearts. In 2002 Gail presented her Honors research for NAN, and in 2010 completed Teacher cum Laude. For NAN, she has served as Director of Education, Treasurer, and Assembly Coordinator. Gail is also certified as a teacher by ANG at the Fellow Level and has completed the EGA Certified Graduate Teacher Program. She has served needlework organizations at the local, regional, and national levels, including as Director of Teacher Certification for EGA. Gail has taught extensively in the US and Canada for over 40 years and her work has won many awards in exhibitions throughout the country. She has written extensively for needlework publications and is the author of In Praise of the Needlewoman.
