1st Place, Non-Professional Japanese Embroidery; Judge’s Choice; Best of Show for Japanese Embroidery (The Beverly Booker Award)

This is a Phase 9 piece from the Japanese Embroidery Center in which the artist learns to lay flat silk and do goldwork. This piece takes a long time to complete, but the person doing this piece can see their skill level get better over time. With the help of Shay Pendray, I was able to complete this piece and gain confidence in my stitching.
