Bejeweled Swirls is an original multi-media needlework piece using many different sizes and shapes of Swarovski crystals. Gold leather, Ultrasuede®, and different sizes of Kreinik metallic ribbons and braids were used. Also, many different sizes and colors of seed and bugle beads were used.

My daughter, who was a student at CCS, got into a swirly phase of acrylic painting. I told her that her swirl technique would be a good beading and embroidery design which she told me wouldn’t work. So I sat down and drew a lot of swirls until I came up with this design. She got a laugh out of my swirls compared to her swirls.
