Third Place

This Brenda Stofft piece was stitched after we took a trip to China in 2013. It became a picture on our Christmas card that year.

I collect bears and a panda canvas is not easy to find. The basket is offset Montenegrin over two and the bag is woven plait. I found the perfect button to go with the tassel. The background was stitched with a fine thread for a mini-t; then a shiny fabric was placed behind the canvas.
