Gail Carolyn Sirna

2004 Lifetime Achievement Awardee

Gail Sirna earned her Teacher Certification in 1982 and completed Judge Certification in 1990 with the National Academy of Needlearts. She is also certified by ANG at the Fellow Level and has completed  the EGA Certified Graduate Teacher Program. In 2002 Gail presented her Honors research for NAN, and earned her Teacher cum Laude in 2010.  She is the former Director of Education for NAN, was NAN Treasurer for 13 years, and serves currently as Assembly Coordinator.  She is also a past EGA Director for the Great Lakes Region. Gail has taught extensively in the US and Canada for over 30 years and her work has won many awards in exhibits throughout the country. She is the author of In Praise of the Needlewoman and was awarded NAN’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004.
