As a longtime student of yoga, the peacefulness of this JP canvas intrigued me when I first saw it displayed at The Needleworks. The combination of stitches and threads—Gloriana, Vineyard Silk, Splendor, DMC Floss, Kreinik, Trebizond, Sparkle Rays, Threadworx Expressions, Silk Lame’ Braid and Memory Thread create a soothing scene that is akin to a Sampler.

The gnarly tree trunk made with many detached twisted chains comes to life with the memory wire branches that sparkle with the dew of Swarovski Crystals. New stitches, techniques and threads made this an exciting piece to do.
