Third Place

I designed Mariposa as a study in colors and stitches. Its stylized body was done to set it apart. The arrays of stitches that form the wings help the design flow from top to bottom. I enjoyed using a range blues and greens for dramatic impact, allowing the design to “jump” off the canvas.
